THE AMAZON
Birders and nature lover will enjoy the sights and sounds of the Amazon Jungle. Some of the best and most established jungle lodges are located at Tambopata in Peru.Over two million acres of uninhabited land comprise the Tambopata National Park. Over 1,000 species of birds, 1,200 species of butterflies, 200 species of mammals, and countless species of plants live in the pristine, uncut forest. Travel along the river for excursions under the canopy of massive trees and hike among the rich undergrowth on well-maintained trails. Monkeys, caimans, and families of giant otters inhabit the adjacent oxbow lake. From an elevated lookout tower, you can see a colourful array of birds and great views over the national park.

CUSCO
Many of the colonial buildings in and around Cuzco are built over incredible stonework foundations of the Inca Empire. With a day or two to acclimate to Cuzco's 10,800 ft. altitude. This time is perfect for strolling through the historic cities narrow 15th century Inca roads, alleyways and stone walls, majestic Cathedrals and ancient Inca ruins. Indian woman sell their wares in the streets including handicrafts made of colourful cloth, weavings and pottery. Sample the cuisine of this region which includes many novel dishes made from over 200 different kinds of potato.

THE SACRED VALLEY
On our journey through The Urubamba Valley,we will visit the fortress town of Ollantaytambo where the Incas headed off the Spaniards by flooding the valley below. The Pisac market is the shopping spot for locals where vegetable and spices can be viewed and sampled and you may barter for exquisite handicrafts Peruvian handicrafts are some of the most exquisite in the world as the country is rich in natural resources, gold, silver, llama yarn, and vivid natural dyes.

MACHU PICCHU
We will set forth on foot via the Inca Trail to the breathtaking Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu. The Lost City was indeed a complete city with industrial, residential and agricultural sectors. The city remained undiscovered until 1911 and is remarkably well preserved, with stairways, temples and terraces waiting to be discovered by you.

LAKE TITICACA
Cruise the mysterious waters of Lake Titicaca, and learn of the lakes legends and pre Inca civilizations. We will visit the floating islands of Uros and have the opportunity of a home stay with a family on the islands of Amantani and Tequile which are situated far of in the highest navigatable lake in the world.
