Most of our adventure tours involve a local payment. Paying locally allows us to keep the overall cost of our tours competitive and pass the savings on to you. These funds are put towards local expenses. In some developing countries the transferring of funds is at times problematic so this is a way to help us serve you, whilst saving you money. Payment is to be made to your leader upon arrival in cash.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL DAY FLORES
WELCOME TO THE LAND OF ETERNAL SPRING! Fly from Guatemala City to Flores. On arrival to Flores, Petén, our representative will transfer you to Hotel for overnight accommodations.
DAY 2 – TIKAL
A highlight of the trip is this full day guided tour to Tikal. You will go back more than 2,000 years in time to Mayan City of Tikal, which is located in the center of the National Park that bears its name, and has an area of 222 square miles. As Tikal lies in the jungle, you’ll also have a chance to see the abundant wildlife and birdlife of the area.
DAY 3 – FLORES TO LAKE ATITLAN
This morning you will be picked up your flight to Guatemala City. On arrival, our representative will transfer you to Lake Atitlán, one of the most beautiful in the world, with its crystalline-azure waters in the crater bowl below. Atitlán is the ideal place to come in contact with Guatemalan folklore.
DAY 4 – CHICHICASTENANGO MARKET
Today is market day in Chichicastenango (Thurdays and Sundays). This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel for your transfer to Chichicastenango. Visit the most colorful and picturesque Indigenous open-air market in the country. Hundreds of locals from the surrounding countryside gather to barter their goods and products.
DAY 5 – LAKE ATITLAN TO ANTIGUA
You will board the motor launch for a short trip on Lake Atitlán to the picturesque village of San Antonio Palopó, one of the twelve lake-shore villages surrounding the Lake. Enjoy this bustling Mayan community, where weavers work the colorful textiles and the unique pottery has evolved from ancient Mayan tradition, influenced by modern techniques. In the afternoon, transfer to Antigua.
DAY 6 – ANTIGUA
Today you will be picked up at your hotel for your Antigua Guatemala sightseeing tour. Visit the Central Plaza that is surrounded by the antique Cathedral, the Municipal Government Building, and the Palace of the Captains General; colonial churches and monasteries, primitive foot-looms where colorful textiles are woven, and a jade factory where this stone is worked into beautiful jewellery.
DAY 7 – DEPARTURE DAY or stay an extra day to explore Pacaya Volcano
You will be transferred to the airport four hours prior your flight’s departure time.
OR STAY LONGER, THERE’S A LOT TO DO: Free day to explore this beautiful colonial city, visit coffee plantations or wander the cobbled streets for that perfect cafe. You may like to take the opportunity to hike up Pacaya Volcano, Guatemala’s most active volcano. The hike is about 2 1/2 hours uphill over loose volcanic scoria rock. It is also possible to ride horses up and walk down. If you wish to go, the tours leave early, so please ask your tour guide the day prior
