DAY 3 - GOLDEN BAY
This morning we visit the Motueka Sunday Market before heading to Golden Bay. Our first stop will be at Anatoki Salmon farm. Try out your fly arm and catch today’s lunch. We’ll have our freshly caught salmon at the picnic tables around the pond.
Next a short wander through Takaka, then we visit world renowned Waikoropupu Springs, with the reportedly clearest water in the world! It’s an easy walk 30min through native forest and a boardwalk, to the viewing platforms along the crystal clear stream.
This afternoon we’ll reach our destination at the settlement of Collingwood.

DAY 4 - GOLDEN BAY
Get ready for an exciting day as we embark on a Farewell Spit Eco tour departing at 8am! As well as exploring the spit, this 6hr tour stops in Puponga and at the most northern point on the South Island, Cape Farewell. From the cliff tops, seals and their pups can be seen all year basking on the rocks below.
On our way back to Motueka, we’ll stop for a tour and tasting at the iconic Dancing Sands Gin Distillery. Hear the incredible story of how this couple started their unique business only two years ago, to become New Zealand’s most awarded distillery.
Meals included: Breakfast, picnic Lunch, gin tasting
DAY 5 - ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK
Today we head up into NZ’s smallest National Park to hike the most scenic part of the coastal track. We catch a boat up to Medlands Bay and walk back along the coastal track to Anchorage. Hiking with great views, walk over the only swing bridge in the park at 25m high and 47m long to the view of Frenchman’s Bay and onwards to our picnic lunch spot of Torrent Bay.
Depending on tides we may opt for the low tide route to Anchorage or the high tide route will take us up to Cleopatra’s Falls and onwards to Anchorage.
Having walked the most scenic part of the coastal track, perhaps brave a refreshing dip in the sea at Anchorage prior to our boat ride back to Kaiteriteri.
Weather permitting, dinner tonight will be a BBQ at Silvana’s home to enjoy a relaxed evening together. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll dine in one of Motueka’s fabulous eateries.
