15 Days

Why choose this trip?

Dance the Tango in Buenos Aires, sample delicious wine and food of northern Argentina, while exploring stunning red canyons, Andean villages and shimmering salt flats. Kick up your heels at Argentina’s most spectacular harvest festival in Mendoza. What’s not to love about this fabulous tour.

This is truly a great trip for anyone who enjoys getting off the beaten track, sampling local wine and foods. We don’t pretend to be professional wine connoisseurs, however we do aim to provide rather a unique way to travel and visit Northern Argentina with an emphasis on wine trails, cuisine and breathtaking scenery along the way. Some long travel days are to be expected in order to experience all that this beautiful region has to offer.

What’s the Activity level?

This is truly a great trip for anyone who enjoys getting off the beaten track, sampling local wine and foods. We aim to provide a rather unique way to travel and visit Northern Argentina with an emphasis on some new trek walks, wine trails, cuisine and breathtaking scenery along the way. Some long travel days are to be expected in order to experience all that this beautiful region has to offer. The northern section of the trip may need some flexibility as November is high season and February  is the end of the rainy season in that area. It is South America so be prepared for minor changes.

What’s the transport and accommodation like?

We travel on a variety of transport from private mini vans to public buses which are very comfortable, long distance coaches. Accommodation is in cosy family owned B&B’s and hotels, with private facilities and great ambience. It’s a moderately active trip which will include some short walks. You’ll need to be able to manage your own bags from our transport to taxis and hotel rooms.

Most of our journeys involve a local payment. Paying locally allows us to keep the overall cost of our tours competitive and pass the savings on to you. These funds are put towards local expenses. In some developing countries the transferring of funds is at times problematic so this is a way to help us manage our tours, whilst saving you money. This is especially true of Argentina since the devaluation of the peso. Payment is to be made to your leader upon arrival in cash.

All prices are approximate and subject to currency fluctuations until final payment has been made.
