DAY 1 – ARRIVAL DAY ATHENS
Transfer to your hotel. Meet your tour leader at 6.00pm for a welcome drink and dinner. If it’s your first time in Athens, consider arriving a day early to recover from jet lag and visit the Acropolis.

DAY 2 – ATHENS: MORNING FOOD TOUR OF OLD ATHENS
Food tour of Athens this morning, wandering off the tourist route to sample local delicacies and visit the central markets. The tour ends at 12:45pm. Afternoon at leisure, maybe visit the Acropolis or the excellent Acropolis Museum near our hotel.

DAY 3 – TRAVEL TO METEORA
We depart early for Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its cliff-top monasteries. After checking in and a relaxed lunch in Kastraki, we’ll enjoy a scenic 5.1km loop hike through dramatic rock formations and pine forests. This moderately challenging two-hour trail offers stunning views and is popular with fellow hikers.

DAY 4 – METEORA: FULL DAY EXPLORING THE AREA
Today we explore more of Meteora on foot, following scenic trails past towering cliffs, hidden caves, and historic cliff-top monasteries. The route will suit the group’s pace, with time to enjoy the views, take photos, and learn about local monastic life. We’ll also have time for a relaxed coffee or browse nearby artisan shops.

DAY 5 – PAROS: FROM MONASTARIES TO THE MEDITERRANEAN
This morning we leave Meteora and travel by train (4–5 hrs) through the countryside to Athens, then transfer to the port for a 4-hour ferry to beautiful Paros. Arriving in the evening, we head to our island accommodation and ease into the relaxed Cycladic pace.

DAY 6 – PAROS: WALKING THE ANCIENT PATHS OF PAROS & A TASTE OF GREEK LIFE
Today we explore Paros on foot, following ancient Byzantine paths from the hilltop village of Lefkes through olive groves and rolling hills to the coast. Along the way, our local guide shares insights into the island’s nature and heritage. We finish with lunch and a swim at a beachside taverna. In the evening, enjoy a hands-on cooking class, preparing traditional Greek dishes before sitting down to share the meal together.

DAY 7 – PAROS: SAILING THE AEGEAN - A DAY ON THE WATER
Today we set off at 10:00am on a full-day cruise aboard a traditional wooden kaiki. With a small group (max 14), we’ll explore hidden beaches, coves, and sea caves, with plenty of time for swimming and snorkelling. Enjoy a freshly prepared meze lunch and drinks on board. We return to Alyki Marina by 4:45pm, relaxed and sun-kissed from a memorable day at sea.

DAY 8 – FERRY TO NAXOS: A TASTE OF NAXOS - FROM FERRY TO FOOD TOUR
This morning we ferry to Naxos, the largest and greenest Cycladic island. After checking into our hotel near the port, enjoy a free afternoon—relax on the beach or explore the charming town. In the evening, join a guided food tour through the Old Town, tasting local cheeses, wines, and specialties, finishing with meze and wine at a traditional taverna.

DAYS 9 & 10 – NAXOS: LEGENDS AND LANDSCAPES - WALKING THROUGH THE HEART OF NAXOS
For these two days we set off with our local guide to explore the lush interior of Naxos on foot. This is more than just a hike—it’s a cultural journey through time. As we walk between traditional villages, you’ll hear local legends, island folklore, and stories that bring the land and its people to life.
The routes takes us through fertile valleys, past stone-built homes, olive groves, and terraced hillsides that have sustained generations. With each step, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for Naxos’ natural beauty and rural traditions.

DAY 11 – ONWARD TO CRETE: SUNSET FLAVOURS OF CHANIA
Today we fly to Chania, Crete, and settle into our hotel near the old town. In the evening, we head to the beautiful Venetian harbour for dinner at a traditional Cretan taverna—complete with local wine or raki—for a warm welcome to this charming town.

DAY 12 – CHANIA: STORIES THROUGH STONE - CHANIA OLD TOWN & ALLIED WAR CEMETARY
This morning we explore Chania’s old town on a guided walk, discovering its Venetian, Ottoman, and Greek heritage through narrow lanes, markets, and harbour views. We then visit the peaceful Allied War Cemetery at Souda Bay to honour the fallen of WWII. The afternoon is free to relax, enjoy lunch, or explore more at your own pace.

DAY 13 – CHANIA: THE SAMARIA GORGE - A FINALE HIKE TO THE SEA
Today we tackle the unforgettable 16km Samaria Gorge hike, descending from the White Mountains through cliffs, forests, and the narrow “Iron Gates” to the Libyan Sea. Finishing in the seaside village of Agia Roumeli, there’s time to swim or relax before we ferry and bus back to Chania for a well-earned rest.

DAY 14 – CHANIA: A DAY TO SAVOUR - FREE TIME IN CHANIA & FAREWELL DINNER
Enjoy a free day in Chania—wander the old town, browse local shops, visit a museum, or relax at Nea Chora Beach. You may even opt for a day trip to Heraklion, the capital of Crete. In the evening, we reunite for a farewell dinner at a traditional taverna, celebrating our shared adventures and the magic of Greece.

DAY 15 – DEPARTURE DAY FAREWELL TO CRETE
This morning marks the end of our unforgettable Greek Islands walking and food adventure. After breakfast, transfers will be arranged to Chania Airport for those departing. If you’re staying on in Crete, enjoy the rest of your journey at your own pace.
